Congratulations to Our Class of 2021!

Congratulations to the Class of 2021 and our Trojan Archery alumni! We are so excited to celebrate FIVE of our team members and their recent degrees from the University of Southern California!


Erin Ewalt
B.A. Communication, USC Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism

Erin joined Trojan Archery in fall of 2018 and has remained since in our Women’s Olympic Recurve division. Aside from her stellar contribution to our team during competitions, she is also graduating with a degree in Communications as well as two minors in Organizational Leadership and Linguistics! During her time with us, Erin served as Treasurer and a USA Archery Level 2 Instructor. After graduation, she is planning to go into video game narrative design, how exciting!


Diego Montano
B.S. Biochemistry, USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences

Diego joined our team during the fall semester of 2018. He has represented our Men’s Compound division for three years and also received his USA Archery Level 2 Instructor Certification. Diego has served as both the Armorer and Compound Captain on our Executive Board. He is a Biochemistry major and is set to return to the USC Department of Chemistry to pursue a PhD. He looks forward to see how the team continues to grow over the next years!


Simon Trinh
B.S. Human Biology, USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences

Simon joined Trojan Archery in fall 2017 and has represented our Men’s Olympic Recurve divison since. Aside from shooting at competitions, he also became a USAA Level 2 Instructor and served as our Director of Education. Simon is graduating with a degree in Human Biology and minors in Computer Programming and Health Care Studies. He will be returning to USC’s Keck School of Medicine for his graduate studies.


Allan (Mac) Whitaker
B.S. Mechanical Engineering, USC Viterbi School of Engineering

Mac joined the team in spring of his freshman year and he will be graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Not only did Mac serve on our Executive Board as President and Armorer, he took home impressive medals from many competitions. This past year, he took home gold at the 2020 Vegas Shoot as well as became part of the USA Archery All-American Team. He is also a certified USAA Level 2 Instructor. Next year, Mac plans to stay at USC to study Product Development Engineering.


Kevin Yan
B.S. Computer Science, USC Viterbi School of Engineering

Kevin joined Trojan Archery in fall of his freshman year and had served as the Webmaster on the Executive Board the following year. Kevin has been an active archer at numerous competitions, and served as a USA Archery Level 2 Instructor for our club. He is graduating with a bachelor’s in Computer Science from the Viterbi School of Engineering and is excited to pursue a career at a top investment firm in New York.


As always, we are sad to say goodbye to our wonderful teammates, but we are equally thrilled to celebrate their achievements! Glad to have you all on board these past few years and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for you! Fight On!
