Congratulations to the Class of 2022! This year, ELEVEN of our team members are graduating with degrees from the University of Southern California! We are so thrilled to celebrate their achievements!
Aadi Ghildiyal
Aadi had been shooting for 6 years before she joined Trojan Archery in Spring of 2019. As a dedicated archer, she has brought home many titles and medals. During her first semester with us, Aadi broke the state record for Collegiate Women’s Recurve in California! She had also received Academic All-American honors two years in a row, AND took home bronze on the collegiate world stage at the 2020 Vegas Shoot. Aadi will be graduating with a Bachelor’s in Chemistry and Minors in Psychology and Health Care Studies. Beginning next month, Aadi will be taking time off to hone her archery skills and work towards Paris 2024!

Allison Ou
Allison joined Trojan Archery in Fall 2018 as a Barebow archer. She has represented us at competitions and accumulated many achievements, including an Indoor National Championship title and an USA Archery Academic All-American Team honor in her season! She has also served on our Executive Board as the Media and Communications Chair. As part of the World Bachelor in Business program, Allison is graduating with three degrees in Business Administration, with a Specialization in Applied Analytics. She will be returning to USC to pursue a M.S. in Digital Social Media.

Audrey Zhao
Audrey joined Trojan Archery in Fall of her sophomore year and has since competed with us as both a Bowhunter and Compound archer. She served on the Executive Board as Secretary and oversees the club’s activities! Over the past year, Audrey has taken home many medals cross both divisions, and placed third in the Women’s Compound Eliminations during the 2022 West Regional Outdoor Collegiate Championships! After graduating with a degree in Neuroscience and a Minor in Spanish, Audrey will be taking on med-school at McGovern in Texas!

Callia Geib
Callia is a new member of Trojan Archery and joined our team in Fall 2021. Despite it being her first competitive season, she accomplished impressive achievements! At the 2022 SoCal Indoor Archery Collegiate Championships, she won bronze in Team Rounds alongside her fellow female Barebow archers, and did the same at the 2022 West Regional Outdoor Collegiate Championships! Callia is graduating with Bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Narrative Studies. She will continue her education at USC to pursue a M.A. in Literary Editing and Publishing.

Jonathan Li
Jonathan joined Trojan Archery in Fall 2021 and has since been a lively member of the team! Jonathan competed in both our Men’s Olympic Recurve and Men’s Barebow divisions. Upon graduating with a degree in Physics and a Minor in Astronomy, Jonathan is moving back to San Jose and taking some time off before working!

Katherine Morrison
Katherine became a member of Trojan Archery in Fall 2018. She competed with us in the Women’s Olympic Recurve division. Not only did she obtain her USA Archery Level 2 Instructor certification, she also served as Secretary on the Executive Board two years prior. In 2019, she took home gold for the State Outdoor Championships of her home state, Oklahoma; and won Team Rounds at that year’s West Regionals with her fellow teammates! Katherine is graduating with a degree in Psychology and a Minor in Applied Analytics. She will remain in Los Angeles working as a Research Analyst.

Mac Whitaker
Mac joined the team in Spring of his undergraduate freshman year and he will now be graduating with a Master’s degree in Product Development Engineering. He has served on the Executive Board as President and Armorer. Mac also took home many impressive titles throughout his time with us. He made the USA Archery All-American Team (top 10 in the nation!) in 2020, and also became a collegiate champion at the 2020 Vegas Shoot! Next year, Mac plans to return home to work in Oregon and hopes to continue with the sport!

Michelle DeMers
Michelle has been with Trojan Archery since Fall 2018 and has represented us in both Olympic Recurve and Compound divisions! During her time with us, Michelle served as Captain, Treasurer, as well as President on the Executive Board. She has made the USA Archery All-West Regional Team this year and took home many medals in regional, state, and national-level competitions during her career! Michelle will be graduating with a degree in Chemistry with a Minor in Marine Biology. Next year, she will be working as a Bioinformatics Research Support Associate. She is super excited to put her degree in use and study the chemical currencies of the ocean!

Nicole Tubman
Nicole joined the team in Fall 2018 and graduated this past winter. She has been a dear member to Trojan Archery and took home gold for our Women’s Barebow Team in the 2019 West Regional Outdoor Collegiate Championship! Nicole graduated from USC with a degree in Art and a Minor in Folklore and Popular Culture. She is now pursuing her Master’s in Folklore at the University of California, Berkeley. We hope to see her again at all the future state-wide tournaments!

Sam Mehdi
Sam joined Trojan Archery in Fall of 2021. As an enthusiastic archer, Sam practised diligently and represented our Men’s Olympic Recurve division for both indoor and outdoor seasons. This year, Sam is graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and will be working at a top e-commerce company starting this Fall!

Winston Wei
Winston joined Trojan Archery in the Fall of his freshman year and has competed for both Barebow and Olympic Recurve divisions in our team! He served as Armorer on the Executive Board a year prior and as a USA Archery Level 2 Instructor for our club. Winston took home silver for Men’s Barebow at the 2019 SoCal Indoor Archery Collegiate Championship as well as gold in Mixed Team Rounds! He will be graduating with double degrees in Computer Science and Business Administration, with a Minor in Applied Computer Security. Upon graduation, he will be joining a top consulting firm in Seattle.

Congratulations again! As always, we will miss you dearly, but we are equally excited to see what the future holds for you! Keep calm and shoot on!
